Third workshop in faculty promotion and tenure series set for Feb. 21

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — “Preparing for Promotion and Tenure at Penn State for Pre-Tenured Faculty,” the third workshop in the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs’ four-part Promotion and Tenure Workshop Series, will be held from 4-5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 21, via Zoom.

The workshop, which is designed for pre-tenured faculty, will discuss the different stages of the promotion and tenure review process and provide tips and strategies to navigate the process successfully. Topics covered will include the 2-4-6-year review format; University policies AC21 and AC23; components of a dossier and the path a dossier takes at each stage of review; excellence in teaching, research and service; and the impact of COVID-19 on research plans.
