SHENANGO, Pa. — There’s still an opportunity to take classes this summer at Penn State Shenango. The first six-week summer session begins Monday, May 14, and continues through June 22. Summer sessions, which include day, evening and online courses, offer students a chance to catch up on classes or get ahead for the fall.

The Shenango campus also offers an eight-week summer session that begins Wednesday, June 13, and runs through Aug. 8, as well as a second six-week session from Wednesday, June 27, through Aug. 8.

During the summer, students have an opportunity to get to know their faculty members well, as classes are normally small, and still take advantage of the campus’ many resources, including the Lartz Memorial Library, Fitness Center, and Buhl Community Recreation Center.

High school students also can take a college course through the campus' Dual Enrollment Program. Dual Enrollment allows eligible high school juniors and incoming seniors to take college courses at a 50 percent tuition reduction in order to get a jump on their college careers. For more information on dual enrollment, contact the Penn State Shenango Admissions Office at 724-983-2803.
