Registration open for 17th annual DUS conference on academic advising

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The DUS Conference on Innovative Academic Advising slated for Oct. 11 in State College will showcase novel research and practices that contribute to the field of advising.

Registration is now open for the 17th annual conference, which will exhibit new scholarship and innovative ideas to meet the evolving needs of students and address related challenges facing higher education. It is organized by the Division of Undergraduate Studies at Penn State.

Those interested in attending the conference at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center should register online by Sept. 15.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the hotel for those wishing to stay overnight. Reserve a room by visiting the Penn Stater website and using the group code ACAD18A. The group rate is $118 per room. The guest room rate, which does not cover deluxe guest rooms and suites, expires on Sept. 10.

The conference is supported by the Penn State Division of Undergraduate Studies, University Faculty Senate, Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost, Office of Undergraduate Education, and The Mentor: An Academic Advising Journal.

The Division of Undergraduate Studies is part of Penn State Undergraduate Education, the academic administrative unit that provides leadership and coordination for University-wide programs and initiatives in support of undergraduate teaching and learning at Penn State.
