UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State students interested in pursuing a career in the technology industry now have an opportunity to apply for IBM’s co-op program this spring. The company is looking for individuals from a variety of majors, including business, computer science and engineering, data science and engineering, among others, across academic colleges who want to gain hands-on experience and connections in areas like business consulting, data science, data engineering, technology and sales while they complete their degree.
In order to be eligible for the program, applicants must have a semester standing of sophomore or above, with a projected graduation of May 2026 or beyond. Individuals must also be able to work within the U.S without present or future sponsorship and obtain any necessary government security clearances. Students are expected to work up to 20 hours a week during the school year and up to 40 hours a week during the summer, with hourly pay.
Applications are open now and will be accepted through Feb. 28. Interested students are encouraged to attend an information session taking place on Tuesday, Feb. 18, from 7 to 8 p.m. in room E205 Westgate Building at University Park.
