UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Foxdale Village will host “Everyday Ups and Downs,” as part of the Healthy Aging Community Lecture Series, at 10 a.m. on Sept. 6 at Foxdale Village Auditorium, 500 E. Marylyn Ave., State College.
Alyssa Gamaldo, assistant professor of human development and family studies and affiliate faculty member of the Center for Healthy Aging at Penn State, will talk about the health and everyday functional differences across diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic older adult populations.
She will also address the health, social and environmental factors that influence individual differences in daily functioning.
Participants will learn how lifestyle, social networks, and environment can improve or sustain everyday cognitive health and well-being across diverse older adult populations.
The Healthy Aging Community Lecture Seriesis a community partnership developed and sponsored by the Penn State Center for Healthy Aging, Juniper Village at Brookline, The Penn State University Park Official Bookstore, The Village at Penn State, Foxdale Village, and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Penn State.
