UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI)’s Implementation Science Core is accepting applications for the inaugural Implementation Science Fellowship Program now through Aug. 1. The program provides training and a mentorship network to scientists interested in advancing their implementation science expertise across Penn State campuses.
Implementation science is the bridge that brings evidence-based interventions into real-life settings. This one-year fellowship will provide a solid theoretical, methodological, and scientific foundation for implementation science that can be used in a variety of clinical and community health topics.
Application due: Aug. 1 at 5 p.m.
Fellow selection: Selected fellows will be notified by Aug. 15.
Projects expected to begin: Sept. 1, 2023, and last through Aug. 31, 2024
The fellowship is for Penn State faculty, at any level, seeking training and a practical learning experience in implementation science. Early-career researchers are encouraged to apply. The program will fund the awardee’s salary support to an equivalent of up to two course buyouts (one per semester) or .10 FTE over the course of the fellowship, with the guidance and support of a fellow-identified mentor.
Fellows will also become part of the Implementation Science Core team, attending regular team meetings and working with the team on activities and consultations as part of the fellowship experience.
