All-Sports Museum to host presentation on Penn State baseball’s trip to Cuba

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State All-Sports Museum’s Ellen Perry Speaker Series will host Rob Cooper, Penn State baseball head coach, and John Affleck, director of the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism, at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 20, as they share Penn State baseball’s historic 2015 trip to Cuba.The NCAA allows varsity teams to take an international trip once every four years. The Penn State baseball team, along with students from the College of Communications, traveled to Cuba to compete in a four-game tour, as well as partake in academic lectures and various cultural activities. Join Cooper, Affleck and students as they share the highlights of their Cuba experience.

The presentation is free and open to the public.

The Penn State All-Sports Museum is located at the southwest corner of Beaver Stadium opposite the Bryce Jordan Center. A long canopy leading from Curtin Road marks the museum entrance. Parking is free in the adjacent Lot 44. For more information, call 814-863-5689 or email asmevents@psu.edu.
