ABINGTON, Pa. — Penn State Abington welcomes the community to two free events, a concert highlighting Cuban music and a workshop on preventing human trafficking, during the last week of March.
La Luz Del Son, a collaborative ensemble of premier Cuban and Philadelphian musicians, will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, in the Sutherland Auditorium. The group builds upon the legacy of musical exchange between the United States and Cuba and features powerhouse rhythm and brass sections for a dynamic mix of traditional Cuban music and original compositions. The Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention session will be presented in partnership with Worthwhile, which provides services to trafficking survivors, and the FBI Human Trafficking Taskforce. It runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, in 112 Woodland Building. RSVP for the workshop here.
